Data-Driven Design
User Experience Design
Our Data Driven Design methodology for creating unique, branded online experiences meshes a strong focus on meeting business requirements with user-centered design principles. This approach enables us to achieve distinct competitive advantages for you through design while delivering real value to your customers, partners, and other constituents.
User Interface Modeling
A user interface is part look, part feel. To be sure everything synchronizes, we create a solid framework for how content can be consumed and engaged with by your audience through the features and functionality you offer. Core to this underlying foundation are:
- Information Architecture
- Navigation and Search Modeling
- User Flow Mapping
- Taxonomy
- User Interaction Design
Visual Language Design
Our approach to visual design goes beyond simple graphic treatments. We develop a vocabulary for how visual elements integrate to authentically represent your brand personality and attributes, while contributing to making your site or application easy to learn and use.
- Style and color palette
- Original graphic art
- Icon design
Proof-of-concept Prototyping and Usability Testing
We are advocates for testing early concepts to be sure any new designs are directionally correct. Those prototypes can be as raw as a diagram drawn on a napkin, to higher glossed clickable screens that advance the user through a set of pre-defined test cases. As we get further along in refining the designs, we'll ideally want to be sure that end users have had a say in telling us what's working and what's not. This usability testing can be done on location at your offices or ours, or remotely to more cost-effectively reach a geographically dispersed audience.
Content Design
Our user experience design doesn't end at the user interface. We also create branded content:
- Copywriting (corporate marketing, product information)
- Original graphics, excluding photography
- Videos
- Animations
Guidelines and Standards
To implement the design recommendations consistently, we document the critical guidelines for designing and developing the web properties. We also train teams to be sure they understand the nuance and context of those guidelines.
- Voice and Tone Guidelines
- Image Use Guidelines
- Functionality Briefs
- Technical Briefs
ADA 508 Compliance
To be sure your site or application is accessible by all people, we incorporate the appropriate design standards to meet any level of ADA 508 compliance. Learn more about ADA 508 compliance standards here.
