Senior Strategist / Information Architect / Interaction Designer / User Experience Consultant

Extractable has an immediate opening for a senior-level Strategist / Information Architect / Interaction Designer. We offer work on websites and web applications for top brands in a dynamic environment with savvy, creative professional colleagues.

As a key member of our Strategy group, you will work in multidisciplinary teams to create smart, innovative solutions for our clients. Our small firm environment will require you to be a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to web strategy, from information architecture to interaction design.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to prospective client pitch efforts
• Participating in discovery interviews and documenting client requirements
• Conducting competitive audits and market research
• Developing user personas and scenarios to clarify results of user research and focus the team’s design efforts on the needs of key users
• Building navigation models, sitemaps, process flows, wireframes, and prototypes that account for multiple users and varying circumstances, and that help communicate and demonstrate strategies to clients
• Collaborating with design, development, production and project management team members to ensure the execution of documented strategies

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of user experience best practices
• A strong attention to detail and exceptional organization, logic and analytical skills
• The ability to ask appropriate questions and communicate effectively to a broad range of people: designers, executives, business development and technical staff
• Experience in developing interactive products with an interactive agency (3+ years or equivalent for consideration, 6+ years for senior roles)
• Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Visio, InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop, as well as the MS Office suite (of course!)
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
